Hello Tea Party…

I am writing to you of a very serious nature. First allow me to share with you an anecdote from this morning while driving to school with my 11-year-old son. He said to me, “dad, did you make a copy of the Declaration of Independence for the Tea Party.” I answered him that yes indeed a couple guys had one made for the Tea Party. So he drops this shocker on me when he tells me,  “I was reading in the Declaration of Independence with my class and I saw something in there that said we are allowed to change out our government if we thought that the government was doing bad things to the people.” I asked him if his teacher taught him that and he answered, No she didn’t, I just read it in there and thought of it.” I was shocked. My 11-year-old son could read something so deep and yet so simple and understand what was truly happening in our nation right now. So without me asking him he says, “wait a minute before you drop me off dad and I will find the part where it says this.” I waited and sure enough he found the part in his history book which has a reprint of the declaration of Independence and read it to me. I was so proud of this little 11-year-old patriot, my son.

That brings me to the serious nature of this email. We are not in humorous times folks and we need to begin making a difference. We urgently need SOBRIETY. I fear we have come to a place where we feel like we fired off a few volleys of free speech and subsequently feel like the opponents to our republic fled in fear.  THEY HAVE NOT AND THEY ARE STILL HERE. I recently received an email from a fellow patriot whose frustration spilled out on the page in all Capital Letters. She told me, “YOU ARE PREACHING TO THE CHIOR.” I did not reply but pondered her statement and the rest of her words. I must say thanks Sharon B for the wake up. I have actually been awake and every cell in my being on fire with passion for this nation to make a true and lasting change for a future, yet through my 20 year struggle in this arena, I have come to recognize that we have let it slide so far down that slippery slope that we are almost at the bottom of that mud clad hillside. Through this Tea Party my effort and the effort of a number of leaders with whom I have counted on have been minimally effective in shaping a larger community and compelling it to action. Yes I am speaking to the Choir and right now even the Choir is not singing and is not together.

I write this letter in the hopes of compelling you to action not using shame or guilt as motivation but appealing to your sense of duty of which each one of us as American Citizens have a binding contract to obey and exercise. It is our duty as citizens of this nation to save it from the course of demise that we are truly on. It would be nice to keep our heads tucked in like turtles and hope to God that it passes and hope to God that the BEAR that is trying to savage us for dinner gets tired of our hard shell and goes away. The BEAR will not go away, and we are not turtles. We are Eagles, and we must make an effort to halt the demise of our Republic. That means numbers. It comes down to less than 1000 officials controlling the entire course of this nation of 300 million people. They reside in Washington DC, and we stupidly put them there. Yes I said it. Stupidly. We are not stupid though, and we can and must change out this elected body of criminals. Yes I said it. Criminals. I cannot do it alone. I am one person. It can only be done with a true revolution and upheaval at the polls by all of us. YOU AND ME. Absent that we are nothing more than a petty banana republic if we attempt to change our nation through some violent bloody coup. I cannot call that an option. Might that happen? Yes. And I dread the day anything like that ever happens.

I truly believe that we can change it at the polls. We MUST CHANGE IT AT THE POLLS. If we are to change this nation at the polls we need warriors willing to sound this alarm enlist people who will go to the polls and vote. This coming primary is the most critical primary in the history of our Republic, because never before have we had such critical issues facing our Republic and sovereignty. The mere fact that Barack Obama plans to sign off on the Treaty of Copenhagen in December should be enough to fire up every patriots blood that they will massively go into the polling booth and throw out every official in Washington who dares agree with that treaty. Need I mention Cap and Trade, Trillion Dollar Bailouts, Healthcare Takeover and the many other serious and significantly damaging decisions that have been made in the past nine months. And of course I do not need to remind any of you how far we have tumbled down that mud stained hill over the past nine months, the past 30 years. Here is what I am asking you do do…please.

Though I believe that the Republican Party has Betrayed this Nation over the last 10 years I am putting aside my disdain for the Republican party. My disdain for people like Susan Collins, Olympia Snow and Mark Kirk whom I hope are voted out as soon as is humanly possible. I am asking you to put aside your disdain for the republican party and massively vote for the most fiscally responsible Senate, Gubernatorial, Congressional candidates and all of the rest of the candidates in the PRIMARY.  I am afraid I cannot report anything good at this time about the current Party in Power…the Democrats. We can and must incrementally flush this Communist Leaning Government out by first putting a party into power filled with Responsible Representatives and as we PROGRESS to a fiscally responsible government and see that power of our success we can repeat this effort in 2012 and then again in 2014 and then again in 2016. Right now the Republican Party still has some responsible representatives in office. Joe Wilson who told Obama he was lying comes to mind. If you look at the shades of blue we can change the shades of that blue from the deep blue that we are now in to a light blue and then flip it all over to the RED. Our nation must move to the RED. Being in the Red means being financially solvent once again.

Folks the only other option if you want change is a violent bloody uprising, and that my friends is not an option for me, and hopefully not for you. Yes it will massively change things right away, but the cost to our nation would be OUR NATION. We are in a completely different circumstance than our Patriot Founders. We would no longer have a nation, and we would be left open to invasion, vulnerable to invasion from all those powers that know that they can park themselves 12 miles off the cost and wait for us to butcher one another, and then they can come in an wipe up the leftover chaos. Violent Bloody Revolution is not an option folks. It is spoken of by too many people as if some Secret Force were waiting or some Cavalry were coming to sweep out the current crop of Criminals in Washington DC and then rightly divide the already divided nation on the left and right.

Remember this, those who support the current crop of criminals in Washington DC also have guns, and they will defend their GAINS with their lives no matter how peaceful they want to portray themselves. They have made enormous gains in the areas of Abortion, Redistribution of Wealth through punitive taxation, Homosexual Rights, Godless Public Arena, Illegal Immigration, Feeding the Welfare State, The Destruction of Small Business America through Corrupt Unions and unreasonable regulations that favor large Corporate Interests, The Corruption of American Education by Corrupt Teacher Unions, Control of America’s Institutions of Higher Learning with Ideologically Communist Professors, Judicial Malfeasance and Judicial Legislation based upon Precedent Law, Control of the News Media. And the list could go on. In all of these areas we the Fiscally Responsible, Limited Government, Limited Taxation, God Honoring, Freedom in Education, Pro-Life and Pro-Legal Immigration American Patriots have lost significant ground. There truly is a division between the two sides. WE ARE AT A FATAL POINT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR REPUBLIC.

WE MUST STAND TOGETHER AT THE POLLS. We cannot divide our votes this time folks. There are good parties out there YES. The Libertarians, the Constitutionalists. But we don’t have the time to reach enough people to compel them to vote for the highly qualified candidates in those parties, however we do have time to begin voting for those highly qualified candidates in the 2010 elections, and I am asking all to put aside their righteous hatred for the Republican Party and vote for the right candidates in the PRIMARIES which will give us qualified people for the general elections. We CAN get Libertarians and Constitutional Party Candidates into office in the 2012 Elections. Right Now we must stop this hemorrhaging. We are traumatically bleeding out folks and having a heart attack at the same time. We must Stop the bleeding because if we have no blood left we have no life left. Once we stop the bleeding we can get the heart working again. We need people to step up and start taking ownership of our Republic, and who will step up and take ownership of the Tea Party here in Rockford. People who will be relentless and radically on fire to make a change who believe in this vision that we can only do it at the polls. If we don’t have any takers in the next few days I will conclude that Rockford is lost and the Tea Party will be done. RockfordTeaParty needs patriots with Initiative. People who will lead groups in their homes twice a month to show videos to their neighbors, their friends, their family. You’ll have to buy the video. I will send out recommendations for videos. Then you will have to lead discussions with the purpose in mind to compel people to get out to the polls and vote. RockfordTeaParty needs people willing to call into the radio stations both 1330 WNTA and 1440 WROK to share their concerns and their solutions. RockfordTeaParty needs people willing to step up and write to the Register Star and the Rock River Times both of which are part of the problem but can be reasoned with through letters to the editor. RockfordTeaParty needs people willing to step out and protest. We will have protests soon, and it may come down to us facing arrest for PEACEFUL NON-VIOENT sit ins outside of Representatives offices and Media Offices. I am asking you to declare your own level of commitment. Your comfort level, but I am asking you to

We can and must save our country. There is no one else. There is no one to come to our rescue. We are the First Responders, the Cavalry. My Patriot Son taught me a lesson this morning. The Declaration is Alive and he is the proof and he now knows what our founders knew. It happened by a simply child-like reading of our Founding Document. The truth has been passed down to the next generation, and that truth will burn like a passionate fire in his heart the rest of his life. We cannot let him down. He told me that we have the right change out our government not because he thinks he can do it alone, but because he is counting on me and you to do it now. Hello Tea Party

The RockfordTeaParty has not disbanded despite the rumors that have
circulated by a group of breakaways who of their own volition decided
to break away from the Rockford Tea Party. This group has formed a new
group which the RockfordTeaParty completely endorses and supports. The
RockfordTeaParty is not competing with their group and will do
anything to ensure their success. They wanted a more moderate voice
that would better attract rank and file Democrats, but the
RockfordTeaParty cannot moderate the already simplified message to
make it more palatable for anyone.

The message is simple: small government, less taxes and fiscal
responsibility. That message is generally not a message that Democrats
traditionally will accept because those simple ideas slice
significantly into many of the socially leftist progressive ideas that
Democrats support such as taxpayer funded abortion, nationalized
healthcare, cap and trade, continued abuse of the welfare state,
uncontrolled borders, and a zillion free speech issues which would all
see resolution if we were to have a government that obeyed the
Constitutional precepts of less government, limited taxation and
fiscal responsibility. All of those issues attack and undermine the
very core message of the RockfordTeaParty which is a simple message
stated over and over. Limited Government, Limited Taxation and Fiscal
Responsibility.

The RockfordTeaPArty welcomes all groups to include Democrats,
Republicans, Libertarians, Constitutionalists, Continental Congress
Members, Oathkeepers and this breakaway group as long as they
understand that the RockfordTeaPArty cannot and will not moderate our
simple message.

Thank you for standing with the RockfordTeaPArty. Exciting times are
on the horizon. Tumultuous times will come and we must stand together
to weather those times and to advance our Nation and our America. Our
short term goal is a Revolution at the Polls in 2010 where we ignite
our community to get out and vote for the very best candidate on the
ballot. The candidate that believes in our simple message of limited
government, limited taxation and fiscal responsibility. We may even
need to be prepared to boot some state politicians out of office in
the primaries. Stay Tuned. We are now entering into the long haul

to Congressman Manzullo about Health Care, and especially to talk to
him about not trying to cut a back room deal that is some sort of
compromise bill. Though the Congressman strongly supports the fiscally
responsible and low tax position we should still attend to voice our
support for fiscally responsible positions and get the real scoop on
what the health care bill is really all about. I will bring along a
number of the suggestions from Tea Partiers to my recent inquiry to
come up with creative ideas to fix our healthcare system. I will give
this list to the Congressman at the Town Hall Meeting.

Congressman Don Manzullo will hold a town hall meeting on August 19 at
7 p.m. at the NIU Center (across from Showplace 16 on East State St.)
to discuss “Obamacare”/ H.R. 3200. Calls should be made to U.S.
Senator Dick Durbin (202-224-2152) and U.S. Senator Roland Burris
(202-224-2854) to express your opposition to HR 3200. Remember to
thank Congressman Manzullo (815-394-1231) for opposing this bill. This
month we must all join together to educate people on this terrible
legislation and let our Senators know how strongly we oppose this
plan.

The Next Tea Party Meeting is still in the planning stages…We are
attempting to find a speaker who is willing to speak about the high
cost and financial burden placed on all Americans by the millions of
illegal immigrants now in country.

I know many of you want to help and participate in the tea party at
more involved levels. That will happen. If you are interested in
contributing your time, effort and/or money to the RockfordTeaParty,

Hello Tea Party…

Yesterday our Congress passed Cap and Trade. In the emails that I have been reading from Tea Party Groups across the nation there is almost and air of revolution. People are angry and one reason why is that the voice of We the People has been ignored by Congress. I have seen a few emails calling for open revolution. The anger is palpable and is understandable when we understand what Cap and Trade is. So here it is in a nutshell.

Companies, businesses, industries will all be required to buy credits from the US Federal Government to offset their carbon emissions. In other words the smoke that they release into the air or atmosphere. Some companies won’t use as many of the Carbon Offsets also known as carbon credits as others, because some companies won’t blow out as much smoke. The companies that use less will then be able to sell their Carbon Credits to the companies that use more and have exceeded their carbon credit limits.

Here’s what that means for each one of us. A company required to buy a credit means that company must find money to buy that credit and the only Capital (ability to raise money)  they have is the products they produce whether their product is a widget, a car, or a British Thermal Unit of Energy. So they will raise the price of their products meaning that we the consumers of those products will have to pay for the price of the carbon credits.

Here is why the carbon credit is called a tax. When the government requires individuals or corporations or businesses or companies to pay them for something, especially something that doesn’t exist, that is plain and simply a tax. Well this will plain and simply be the largest tax increase in the history of our nation. That’s the truth. That’s the bottom line and guess what, every American will pay for it. There will be no graduated means of paying for it. In other words if you make $10,000 a year, you will pay just as much if not more than the person making $100,000 dollars a year. To make matters worse, this bill will effectively double your energy costs if it become law with the stroke of Barack Obama’s pen.

Our Congress has betrayed us. They have no Constitutional Consent to pass something like this. I ask you this question. Is there anything in the American Constitution that provides for politicians to require you and I and private businesses to pay for Carbon Emissions? I challenge you to find that Amendment.

July 4th is going to be a day that we have a say. Many people are literally rising up today June 27th and protesting. If you feel like you want to join on of these protests I encourage you to go. They are having a protest today in downtown Chicago.

Hello Tea Party…

Flier pick up is complete. I will hand the rest of the fliers out at the next meeting which will take place on Wednesday July 1st at 6 pm at the old Highland School, now Office building, on E State St and Rockford Ave which is for GPS locators at 2222 E State Street. Please enter through the east entrance which is the Rockford Ave entrance. It will be our final planning meeting prior to the Tea Party where we wrap up all the ends and all the lose ends. I hope to see you all there. We will have a great chance to talk to vent to plan and to energize.

I talked to Rockford’s own Kurt “Walk the Talk” Kallenbach and thus far his experience has been exciting. He has met some of the most amazing Americans, in fact Americans similar to all of us. They just happen to live in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana. But they are WE. His adventure is leaving an indelible mark on his soul and his heart and I can hear it in his voice. I can’t help but think I don’t want Rockford to be left behind. Kurt started his walk as a desire to make a change and tell people that one man can do with a final goal of reaching the DC Tea Party.

The Tea Party movement although given little press this time around is stocked full of Americans estimated at more than a million across the nation and quite possibly more than two million. Its a national movement and Rockford actually has a voice in it. For to long Rockford has had no voice and Rockford has had to be silent in the shadow of our giant brother 70 miles southeast. Rockford has a voice in a national movement and its about time Rockford had something to say. Our local media has shortsightedly ignored this voice and this movement not because it is not newsworthy but because of their own political entanglements and their own lack of vision.

I am tired of Rockford being left behind in this state and in this nation. We have not been left behind in some ways…we win many competitions. We win the highest property tax rate in the state competition and second highest in the nation competition. We win the highest unemployment rate in the state competition and of course what follows is one of the highest in the nation. 13.9 percent as of today. We win the highest crime rate in the state competition and what follows is if you beat out Chicago in crime statistics you can rest assured you can be counted in the top crime cities of the nation. Our number ones are extraordinary failures.

But I can tell you this, it isn’t for lack of trying to make  difference. If you are tired of Rockford being left behind and leading in all the wrong categories then I encourage you to come to the RockfordTeaParty on July 4th and make your voice heard. We are a new voice. An American movement. We have not been left behind on this one. We are in the thick of it. We have a chance to begin making true changes that will cost us top billing in those areas where we need to lose and begin to place out best feet forward where we need to win.

We don’t want Rockford to be left behind yet again. This is our time. This is our chance to be a part of something truly historic, and though the media won’t admit to it, heck they may not even cover it, we are part of a New Amercian Movement that will ultimately push through the real kind of change that must take place to give America back to us. Back to Rockford.

While Obama was running against McCain, my son asked me why Barack Obama would be a bad choice for president. He has recently been inundated with polls and votes at school and told me that he has even had discussions with other 11-year-olds about how they voted. He told me that Barack Obama would be the next president because all the kids in his class voted for him. I asked him who he voted for and he told me of course for McCain. Yet his question was an honest one since everyone around him is telling him that Barack Obama will be the best choice. I fumbled around wondering what to say. I googled it and found relatively nothing useful. I then came up with something he could understand and I could explain with simplicity.

“Son,” I said, here is why we don’t want Barack Obama to be the president.

Pretend you work really hard over one weekend mowing 10 lawns or shoveling snow off 10 or 20 sidewalks and you make about 50 bucks. On Monday when you go to school you go to get in line at the cafeteria and hand the cashier your money and it is a $10 bill.

Behind you is Robert the bully. Well Robert sees you have $10 and is a little bit envious that you had $10, but Robert spent his previous weekend playing video games, running around the neighborhood, watching TV and eating Cheetoh’s. So being envious he goes to the principal at school and tells the principal he only had $2 for lunch and Aiden had $10. Well the principal being liberal devises a plan in order to take some of your money and get it into the hands of Robert.

So she announces over the speaker that anyone having more than $5 must report to the office to pay a fine. The fine is $1 dollar if you have $5, $2 if you have $6, $3 if you have $7 and $4 if you have $8-$10. If you have more than $10 dollars you get fined $6. The students arrive at the office and are told of their fines and ask why they are being fined. They are told that they have to help pay for the lunches of those students who have less. The kids pay their fines and the principal announces to the school for those with $2 or less to come to the office to come and collect their lunch money.

The students who paid their fines watch those who paid nothing and worked for nothing collect their lunch money. The next day none of the kids show up with anything more than 2 dollars and that weekend the kids who paid fines decide it is their right to play video games, watch TV, run around the neighborhood and eat cheetoh’s.

That following Monday all the kids refuse to bring any money to school because those who were fined didn’t work for their money since their incentive to work was taken away because their money just went to pay for other people, and the ones who previously came to school with $1 or $2 dollars brought no money because they were thinking that the principal would fine the other students for lunch money and the less they have the more they would get from other students fines. Now that nobody has any money to pay for lunch everybody gets their lunch for free and the School has to take care of the bill. So thats how I explained to my son why voting for Barack Obama would be bad.

Hello Tea Party…

The RockfordTeaParty is truly an American Movement. Last night’s meeting was full of this amazing example of an American Movement. It was a meeting, and it was a good meeting full of very smart Americans, very weary Americans, but all of them primed for the next steps toward our true recovery of this Republic and in particular the Constitution upon which it is expressed fully.

I cannot thank all of them enough for their decisions to volunteer for the various tasks toward the July 4th Tea Party. I cannot thank them enough for the financial contributions they invested in the July 4th Tea Party. With these two aspects now addressed, the RockfordTeaParty should have a decent show of hands. Hands of those Americans ready to make a difference in our community and country.

In Rockford the Tea Party is an Ark where people are gathering with other like minded who want to make a difference beyond just yelling at their TV screens. Legislative Coordinator Phil Parra likened it to a Battleship Group because Rockford has many great organizations, but none of them really offer people their chance to be heard in one place. The RockfordTeaParty gathers them all unites them and gives voice to what we fully believe.

Whatever the case we had a great organizational meeting with status updates from various groups and a true sense of excitement that we are together and forging ahead with the ideas that matter to us all. So thank you to all who attended and to all who will be at the next meeting prior to the Tea Party itself on July 4th. The next meeting times will be posted and released by this coming Tuesday.

The 16th Amendment:

“The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes,from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”

The Declaration of Independence and Constitution were created in part to escape the abusive taxation of the King of England, yet at the turn of the 20th century our leaders convinced 3/5 of the states and a majority of the population to put a form of self taxation into the very document that was created to escape and shake of the chains of tyranny our founders fought with such bloody resolve to eliminate?

The 16th Amendment is anti-Constitutional. The previous 15 amendments are all designed as protections of American’s rights that the Declaration of Independence and Constitution declares are given to us by our Creator. The United States is merely a protector of those rights and that is legally proclaimed through the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

The bright idea to make the 16th amendment to the constitution is an idea giving power to a consensus of dictators the right to putatively disempower the very people that the constitution it was amending was meant to empower. The 16th amendment was purely a manipulative power grab by the leaders of the day to seize what belonged to the people and place it in the hands of a few. It effectievly centralized our government.

It should never have been made a part of the constitution. The 16th amendment must be repealed just like the 18th Amendment was repealed. There should be a national referendum on the fair tax to replace the 16th Amendment. I don’t know how our ancestors from the turn of the 20th century could vote to enslave themselevs and future generations by making taxation a constitutional power. A power government was never meant to have since power is not given to government, but the responsibility to defend American rights is the only power. By creating the 16th Amendment we have given those in power the right to have power instead of giving people the right to have power.

The Constitution is by its very virtue a document that protects the rights of Americans as opposed to protecting the right of government to tax us. The 16th Amendment in contradiction to the purpose of the constitution actually protects the government from the people. It gives government a right. That is insane in our system. It essentially gives a right to dictatorship by comittee which means Congress is a dictator.

It takes away the right of free people to live freely and to decide freely. The 16th Amendment in essence cancels out the previous 15 Amendments to the American Constitution. We have no constitutional rights as long as the 16th Amendment is a part of a document that is supposed to protect our God given rights. The 16th Amendment is in essence became the core of the constitution because it gives the right to the government to levy taxes and to levy taxes on anything and the power to tax is the power to destroy. If you can tax anything you can control anything and the means of that control is to use these powers of government to force you to pay and if you don’t to haul you off to jail or use the myriad of other laws to take your livelyhood and earnings away.
