Hello Tea Party…

So lets get started on a plan to move beyond the tea party and into
significant change. The ultimate goal of the RockfordTeaParty is true
change. Change at the ballot box. Our Legislative Coordinator Jessica
McGowan has drafted a superb letter which will be sent to out elected
officials that describes exactly what needs to happen in order for
them to be endorsed by the RockfordTeaParty.

Real Change is only going to happen with a vibrant and active
electorate. This vibrant and active electorate must be highly
educated. That sounds like a lot of work, but it is not. The pieces of
the puzzle are already in place. It is up to you to come and view it.
Tim and Linda Thomas who have been extremely committed to this cause
are already out educating people locally about the constitution and
the real freedom it provides We the People. Their home is open on
select nights for an educational series that they have been teaching
on the Constitution with the aid of Constitutional Scholar Michael

you can attend their meetings regarding this important educational
series. This is not the 5th grade Constitution you got from your
overworked and underpaid grade school teacher. This is easy to
understand life giving liberty information.

And then there is Rogene Hamilton a true tireless warrior who is
putting her heart and soul into the Continental Congress. She will be
speaking at the Tea Party meeting on this Thursday night. This
tireless patriot is a delegate to the Continental Congress who are
exercising their First amendment rights to Redress Grievances to the

Rogene’s effort is perhaps one of the most exciting behind the scenes
quiet movements that is making an impact. Their movement grows only
with committed Americans who really want to make a change in the
current regime’s trajectory.

These are people right here in Rockford that are committed to making
changes to our nation that truly matter. We don’t have to go far to
meet these people. We don’t have to go far to make a connection with
them. All we have to do is let them know we are interested and they
will do the rest. Let them know we want to help, to participate
someway and they will give you the next step.

As we become increasingly educated in this process we will be able to
significantly target the 2010 Elections. We have a left wing, liberal
tax and spend democrat running for the seat Barack Obama vacated when
he became President. Roland Burris and Alexi Gunulius are both as far
left as it gets and are both knocking down and dragging out their
fight for that seat while a fiscally conservative limited government
candidate has yet to emerge. Sorry folks we won’t find one of those
among the democrats. If we as the RockfordTeaParty are going to make a
change then we must be actively pursuing it. We must vote out of
office those people who will maintain the current course of this
current fiscally irresponsible regime.

Guess what…when we get that unifying idea we will get a lot of the
side effects to, such as tackling the illegal immigration problem, the
abortion problem, the gay marriage problem. We want to attack all
those issues, but the big 800 pound gorilla is the out of control
government we must shrink. We can only do that effectively by standing
in the gap. I am reminded of an incredible moment in the movie Troy
when Achilles (played by Bradd Pitt) the bad boy warrior of the Greeks
just finishes off an opponent and stands before the entire Army of the
warrior whom he had just finished off and asked them this question: Is
there no one else? Is there no one else? His body tense and muscles
rippling and blood splattered all over his face with Javelin and
shield in hand and with a look of pity he turned and walked away when
all of that Army fell silent. I feel like Barack Obama finished off
our best warrior and stands before all of us now asking that same
question with a look of pity on his face. Is there no one else? Is
there no one else? Even if the sound of our voice is that of a Church
Mouse we are saying, “Yes there is. There is someone else. There is
us.”

All day my mind has been occupied by the thought that maybe we are
truly done. My walk along the Rockford Sinisissppi Bike path is often
a great time to reflect on the previous week which is usually filled
sick people, traumas and yes some people who have gone to meet their
maker.

This morning though I could not help but think about all the
excitement when Rick Santelli made his infamous rant and the
subsequnet Tea Parties that became a real firestorm across America.
With the Boston Tea Party deep in our history but also buried in our
5th grade memories, Santelli stoked a small fire that truly lived in
every one of us patriots. Many of us didn’t know the year it even
happened in, let alone the day and various events leading up to it.

Many of us just knew some fed up taxpayers from our national history
who eventually founded a nation threw some tea in a river that
ultimately ignited a revolution. Santelli merely stated what we all
wanted to hear.

It was about 21 days after the election of a man none of us knew but
who was making swift and sweeping changes, and it was like Hurricane
Obama had gone to Washington and was fulfilling all of our worst
fears. We were livid. We were united. We were stunned into action. The
hurricane has not stopped. We have just adapted to it. We are getting
used to the abuse. We are acclimating to slavery.

The day Santelli ranted at the Chicago Board of Trade we were ready.
The fire just grew and there was no containing it. Now after two
months the lights from that fire have softened and nothing but little
tea lights are spread out across the country barley flickering and are
extinguishing with a breeze. The voices that were loud and barely
containable have moved on.

There can be no doubt that the fire we had for the Tea Party movement
is barley burning now. With the 4th of July coming up fast, barely a
peep is being mentioned about the next Tea Party. We have barbecues to
attend to. We have fireworks to prepare. We have drinks to buy and
potato salad too. Its summertime and perhaps we are just not ready for
a fight.

I hope I am wrong. I hope that this is just the calm before the storm.
I hope that America will stay the course and fight for the ideals we
all really believe in. Obama is not going to go away. He is going to
maintain his course. His agenda will progress. Seeing is not believing
in this case. We have to be prepared for what is really coming. And I
believe. And I don’t need to see the end result to figure it out. And
it is on the way.

More radical changes that none of us signed up for. The kind of change
he didn’t promise. He promised change for the better, and the change
that is on the way is coming like a plague. It will knock America to
her knees. It will forever change this nation for the worse.

We are the last defense. Maybe not the Tea Party movement itself, but
the people who believe in this movement are the last defense, and
every minute we don’t spend opposing this man and this congress is a
moment of change for the worse.

To be honest all may just be lost. But I will go down with the ship.
Join me at the RockfordTeaParty on July 4th. It is our ship. The only
thing left is to drown.

Vintage and tradition are wonderful anchors in life. When you went fishing as a child out on a boat with your grandfather, and he hooked a worm for bait while spitting a wad of Copenhagen into the water, there is something warm and safe and gratifyingly secure about him never changing. You could always count on your pappy being the same forever. He would never change, and you never wanted him to change.

Anchors in life and relationships are the core of what makes us happy. But some anchors in life can turn out to be bad. If we still used an abacus to calculate numbers that would be bad. If we still used a black and white TV that had one of those dial tuners to change channels that would be bad. And so it is with our current tax code.

Continuing to use the current method of taxation is a tradition that has served its purpose run its course and is now a bad thing. Your grand pappy was ok with that form of taxation it anchored his life. It was how America paid the bills, and folks like your grand pappy were happy to surrender their blood, sweat and tears to keep America running. Yet America’s tax code has become abusive, and in this technologically advanced culture we live in, which itself will be vintage in 50 years, we the American people need a fair tax code that equally and efficiently pays for government.

The American tax code is more than 50 thousand pages long with intricacies that even an advanced civilization from another planet may not be able to interpret even if they had telepathic powers. The chief financial officer of the United States Government Timothy Geitner was even confounded by the tax code when he failed to file taxes on income. It almost derailed his nomination to the position.

In America today we all want simple living similar to that which our grand pappy’s enjoyed, out on a fishing boat hooking a worm, catching a fish. The development and use of technology has helped to bring us closer to that while increasing our knowledge far beyond that of our ancestors.

Yet we remain burdened by an inefficient, costly, ineffective, heavy handed tax code that must go the way of the black and white TV. It is from an era far older than the black and white TV. It is nothing like the depth and warm, safe, gratifying security of your grand pappy. It is time to cut this anchor and give the American tax code an honorable burial and renew our faith in our government by instituting a new and Fair Tax that taxes consumption.

It is time to pass HR 25 and turn America into the efficient economic super engine that can truly change the world. America lead the world is slipping, and now we need to lead again by adopting a new tax code that changes the world.

Hello Tea Party,

It would seem that our situation in this community and in America is
deteriorating. Surely we all feel the frustration of a nation slipping
away from us. Slipping toward that which none of us could have ever
thought was possible just 4 months ago. Without a doubt GW Bush didn’t
make matters better. He kept the Status Quo. He kept us firmly in the
grip of a strangulating tax system and top heavy government.

Families had to work two and three jobs to make ends meet. Though many
of us were angry about it, we had little recourse with Bush and the
Spendaholic Republicans. Now under Obama many cannot even make ends
meet because the unemployment has become unmanageable and is at its
highest rate since 1983. He has ordered privately owned companies to
close as if we were living in Mussolini’s Fascist Italy of World War
Two. Our national debt is piling up, bailouts, omnibus bills and
multi-trillion dollar budgets are enormous weights.

The best economic forecasts paint a bleak picture for the rest of the
year as far as housing and inflation go. More Americans are going on
public aid than ever and to complicate that Illegal Immigrants have
increasingly strained our system to a near breaking point. Barack
Obama has made some radical moves that have stunned many Americans.
The Congress and Senate are steam rolling our people with decisions
that We the People never authorized.

My heart is truly broken for this nation as I am sure is yours. We
must halt this now, but if you feel powerless like I do, you are
probably not far off base. Yet I have hope. The Tea Party movement is
a piece of the puzzle. Many good Americans are forming constitutional
groups and coming up with ideas to make real change at a pace that is
dizzying.

At the recent Tea Party meeting we were all encouraged with the
motivation of the patriots that spoke their minds and their hearts
regarding the above issues. With the patriots in this movement the Tea
Party movement and the others that are emerging as a result of the
frenetic pace Obama has set, it is sure that we can get this country
back on track. We all have to Care and Participate.

Moving forward with the Tea Party in Rockford is not just about one
event. It is a movement that we want to stay around for a while and it
can only happen with all of us working together toward effective
change.

We will have another Tea Party meeting coming up to discuss the
preparations for the July 4th Tea Party. Progress is being made and it
is shaping up nicely. I will have some nice announcements to make for

the next meeting.
We will need to raise a little bit of money to cover all the expenses
and thus we will have a Meeting on either the 9th, 10th or 11th of

Hello Tea Party…

Well it took me a day to put this email together. Well we had our first meeting since the April Tea Party and about 30 people came to the meeting. That was great. We discussed some new organizational initiatives that will begin to place the RockfordTeaParty in the community’s narrative with increasing degrees publicity.

We now have some new folks to add to the organizational mix Our New Media Coordinators Dale Spurlock, Robert Baxter, Dana Pelan. These three will be working to their levels of time and expertise to interact with the local and State media to make the RockfordTeaParty known.

We also have two Legislative Coordinators, Phil Parra and Jessica Henderson who will be working on our interactions with all of our elected officials.

Next we have a number of group coordinators Sharon Whitford, John and Jody Carlson, Russell Rauch, Jessica Henderson, and Sharon Kelly who will lead local groups in their neighborhoods and or amongst family and friends that will discuss the various issues that are important to folks in the Tea Party movement and that are important to We the People…Americans.

We also found two Tea Partiers to step up and be 20 Something Coordinators. Jonathan Cobb and Jacob Bradt who will not only be group coordinators but will also be responsible to reaching out to that difficult to reach group who soundly supported our new President in this new regime.

If you know any of these coordinators please talk to them about your ideas, get involved with their group.

We also have a few folks who are going to begin working on a community discussion series. Bruce Kincaid, Sue Brock and Joel Collinsworth will coordinate this series. It will be a series of informational meetings about the topics that are important to us all. These informational meetings will educate folks in ways that they just are not educated via the traditional process in the media and the educational system.

Once we had set up these coordinator positions we began discussing other organizational issues regarding the actual next Tea Party which will take place on July Fourth at Haskell Park in Downtown Rockford and then subsequently in the July 4th Parade. We plan to have a speaker for this Tea Party and one of the RockfordTeaParty members is working on bringing a speaker in. Bob Bellard stepped up to volunteer to look into it and thankfully he has some interesting connections which may help.

We also need to begin organizing people to build the Tea Party float for the Parade. I am asking you all here to send me an email if you can help. We also discussed music for the Tea Party this year. We plan to have  PA system to ensure adequate communication at this upcoming tea party. Our Coordinators will be helping to get the word out to many more people this time but this effort will not happen without you. As the day approaches we not only need the above volunteers but we need much much more. We need people to help pass out fliers and invite their friends and family.

We also discussed the introduction of the idea for the Tea Party Float. We also want to help with the July 4th Celebration by manning phones for their fund raiser for the 4th of July Committee and by conducting a food drive during the July 4th tea Party Event and the parade to give to the various food banks locally.

But now we have to shift gears into financials and we need to start seeking donations. I am asking all of you to consider donating to this Tea Party. You may not be able to offer your time and or effort because of your schedules or work, but I am asking you to send a donation to help defray the increasing costs of this organization. I work a regular job and have been paying for all of these things out of pocket and at the end of my ability to pay for things, and if we cannot pay for all the things we will need, then we may not be able to move forward.

We need to pay to rent the Tea Party location and PA system and here is a list of the other items we will need to pay for. Meeting Rooms for the next two meetings and then monthly thereafter. Speaker for this next event. Radio Commercials. Communication items such as posters that we plan to put up around town, fliers, one mailing, a billboard. And of course our Tea APrty float for the July 4th Parade.

While walking at the bike path thinking about the meeting I had a huge list of items and incidental items that will require financial support. So I am official asking for a donation which will not be tax deductible to this cause.  Depending on the response to this I will be opening a RockfordTeaParty Account at a local bank and thus I would like for all who anticipate being able to donate to make your checks out to RockfordTeaPArty. I am asking for each person to donate anything they can but a nice round 25 dollars would be helpful or more if you can afford to. If you decide to donate and send the check to the address at the bottom made out to RockfordTeaParty it will only be deposited if I can get enough people to contribute their financial help. If not I will either send it back or shred it. Believe it or not this is an investment. You may not see returns in your bank account, but it is an investment in our community, state and Nation. We must change America. We have no where else to go folks. We are here and this is our land. Our country. Our home. If we cannot make it better now, we never will and we may as well dig in for a decade of abuse. Possibly more.

At this point these donations are not tax deductible because we are not a 5013c organization and we may never be. For starters this would cost alot of money to become a 5013c group, but also in becoming a 5013c group we would be at the mercy of the IRS who could easily put the screws to us if they don’t like our message which brings me to the part of the Tea Party Meeting that I think we can all identify with.

Yes eventually we got past the discussions of organization and on to the topic of discussing the issues. The issues are what we are all in this for. The Tea Party has people who are in this because of Taxes yes, extreme government overreach yes. But we are also interested in the other issues that all Americans must suffer under. Please allow me a brief deviation and then a brief synopsis of this part of the meeting. We decided that we are an American Movement. We are definitely not democrats. Some of us are recovering Republicans. All of us don’t know who we are anymore within the traditional party alignment. The one thing we all agreed on was that we are Americans. We are Americans who are sick of being abused by our government. We are Americans who refuse to get used to being abused. Once we get used to being abused as Americans we may as well just throw in the towel and accept what we get.

In our meeting we discussed the tactics of Saul Alinski which have been used with maximum effectiveness against Americans by a certain segment of our population which includes the media and the current government and supporters of this current government. We discussed the desire for a true revolution at the polls in 2010. We discussed the fact that we as a Tea Party organization will only support those candidates that support Fair Taxation and limited government. We will be seeking to get statements in writing from candidates regarding their official support of these matters. But we will not just accept lip service from people like Chuck Jefferson, Dick Durbin and so on. We will look at their records and if their records don’t match their promises they will be called out on it and they will be opposed in the 2010 elections and subsequent 2012 elections.

Well this is getting long and so much more was discussed. It was exciting and fun and motivational. We had Kurt Kallenbach there who is making news with his Walk the Talk. Please do everything you can to support his effort which kicks off in about two-weeks. He spoke about his walk and about our Declaration of Independence which is a focus of his upcoming walk to Washington DC. How exciting to have such a patriot in our midst. Jonathan Cobb was also there who is the Leader of the local 9-12 Group and his support has been so valued. And Joel Collinsworth, the leader of the New Son’s of Liberty was there, a man I consider a real Patriot and an honor to work with in our effort to organize locally.

I love America which is vastly different than being in love. Being in love requires a completely different set of variables. Saying I love America is more fitting. I don’t love the political construct. Not the political entity, nor the politicians. America is an idea not a political construct. America is its people, not three branches of government.

People who come at this from the view that America is a government completely misunderstand America. People like that have a fixation on government. In some freakish way they worship government whether their feelings are good or bad because they attribute power to government.

Here in America the government only has the power that the people have given it. We were given that power by God, and we loan it to those in government. Their power is a derivative of our power, and our power is a derivative of God’s power. As of recent though, our government is looking more like the government in Sweden, England, France, Germany, where the government is the power and not the people despite their twisted forms of Democracy.

Barack Obama is attempting to bring European style socialism to this nation. He treats our congress like it is a parliament. He forgets that our congress didn’t elect him. We did. The congress forgets that we elected them, they don’t have the right of Lords to hold their positions.

America is not a political construct or entity. It is a people, it is an idea and the two combined to form a nation by the people, of the people, for the people. We can throw the idiots whom we elected out of office anytime. Unfortunately right now many of the American people are ignorant of their true power.

But there is a tidal wave coming. Americans are ready to make a decision about what we want. And we don’t want what Europe has. We don’t want that already which is ingrained in Europe which is a slave, globalist mentality.

Right now our government is trying to enslave us, and our government has been trying to enslave us for decades. In 2010 we will see that people are not pliable tools for selfish politicians. We will see that politicians are really the puppets, and we pull their strings.

“They don’t know their history. This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up.”

“Well, because they’re not just honest protesters. They were indeed motivated a lot by racism. You saw some of those signs. Did you not? And if they are upset about fiscal imprudence, where were they for the last eight years?”

“Everybody I saw at that tea party are racists.”

Those are the comments of Actress, JANEANE GAROFALO. Why her comments matter is beyond me, but the media has made a sensation of it, and especially those in the conservative media and circles have made her comments important.

Perhaps they do it to point out the hypocrisy of the left, and that is a fairly worthy but lost cause. Garafolo represents a lot of the limousine liberals who rail about racism. Their comments and their ideas are somewhat tainted though by their own form of racism, a racism that they have no clue they are living, and possibly much more insidious than anything the Klan can up with.

The Klan is outright rejected by the masses, but the insidious form of racism practiced by the Hollywood left, and others on the left, is surreptitious and fools the masses so much so that they have no opportunity to reject it. Their misguided intentions seem intuitive, but they pull the Americans into their same form of racist bigotry.

The answer to Garofolo is not to whine about her ignorant remarks which obviously come from the mouth of a clown, court jester or perhaps a king’s fool. The answer is to ask Garafolo if she is the savior of the black race? She seems to think, as do many Hollywood liberals and leftists do, that without them, blacks in America would have no chance.

In other words blacks need their help because blacks are helpless. The great white Garafolo is going to come and rescue the poor helpless black people with her constant attacks on those she considers racist, and after all it is always nice and good to attack racists. Everybody can rally around that cause.

Consider the new movie the Soloist and many other Hollywood drama’s of similar theme. Its about a black man who has fallen on hard times and is discovered by a generous white man who through a stormy and turbulent friendship rescues the black man so that his real talents can be discovered and utilized.

The back story that is ignored is that it took a white man to come along and rescue a black man as if a black man was helpless and unable to step up to a winning life on his own. The white man is in the position of power and the black man is in the position of weakness. The white man is the winner and the black man is the looser until the white man kindly makes the black man a winner. The white man is able to save the black man because of the powerlessness of the black man, despite the fact that this black man had all the talents and power and the white man had none.

This is the same theatrical theme, the “poor weak black man is in need,” that Janine Garaflo uses to attack conservatives so that they can be rescued with her sloppy yet angry diatribes against all that oppresses and which she alone has the power to drop in and effect a rescue.

Is the black man, or woman powerless? Why do we never see stories or hear tales of black people rescuing white people? I am sure there are many of these stories out there where black folks step up and make a difference in the lives of powerless whites.

I believe that these stories are not told because it keeps black people powerless. It keeps them believing they are powerless. It keeps them believing that they have no hope except that which some do gooding powerful white comedian gives them. That is the most insidious form of racism I have ever seen. And it has to be the most insidious form of racism a balck man or woman can encounter because it is right in their face and pretends to help but while smiling at them it is tearing their very soul from their being. That is a form of racism that truly demeans people of color and keeps them oppressed.

Great White Hopes. They are not the savior of black folks. They are not the only means for blacks in America to find their way to the top. They are the means by which blacks remain in hopeless oppression. Janine Garafolo needs to shut up. She’s not even funny anymore.
